Bella Mente is a free charter elementary and middle school school in Vista, CA.
The Executive Director, Ms. Feeley, founded the school as an alternative to traditional educational instruction. At Bella Mente scholars learn from Montessori certified instructors who teach following a prominent philosophy that includes multi-age grouping, interwoven subjects, independent learning, and character education.
Ms. Feeley came to GoBeRewarded to improve the online presence of her school and attract students interested in a unique educational experience. She had a secondary goal of improving the broader community's awareness and perception of Bella Mente.
Bella Mente Academy wanted a website that would highlight their special teaching philosophy and the community of teachers, staff, and students they have built around it. GoBeRewarded captured the spirit of the school with colorful, lively photo and video. This content became the visual focal point of the website and also interspersed on listings, Google display ads, and social media.
In the past 3 months, the new Bella Mente website has received 6,500+ unique website visitors, 90+ clicks to call from mobile, and 49 clicks to e-mail.
Web Design for a Charter School
Our team focused on:
- Intuitively organizing all of the information, documents, and links both students, teachers, parents, and staff will be referencing throughout the year.
- Incorporating information required to be public for all charter schools in California including the LCAP, public meetings of the SSC and Board of Directors, charter documents, and school financial statements.
- Embedding the school's existing Google Calendar and Instagram feed
- Visual branding in alignment with existing brand standards and original photo and video that highlights the unique aspects of Bella Mente
- Creating a new student enrollment page that adds transparency and clarity to the process and includes easy access to the online application
- On-page SEO tactics including page title tags, page descriptions, headers, keywords in URLs, and image alt-text
